Next to last chapter of WATERWORLD

After our Brookfield store flood Thursday night our emergency restoration crew showed up at 2:00 AM Friday morning with two special purpose trucks, a trailer full of equipment and six staff.  Two hours later they had moved everything on the sales floor onto the only small dry patch of carpet, vacuumed out as much water as possible and placed a couple dozen industrial blowers and two commercial dehumidifiers.   All this equipment ran until the store was ready to open Saturday morning.  It was unbelievably hot, noisy and WINDY.  We enthusiastically recommend Saukville small business Magic Touch Carpet Cleaning and Water Damage Restoration who were there when we needed them.

Our Faye’s volunteer “put back together” crew arrived at 8:00 AM Saturday.  By 9:00 AM the store looked great and we were ready for business.  And of course several great and loyal customers showed up to check out our first ever Brookfield Lafayette 148 New York trunk show and help us catch up on the business we lost on Friday, only the second day in Faye’s 20 year history that a store has closed for a day!  The other closure was for last year’s blizzard in Mequon. An ordinary storm just doesn’t do it at Faye's.

Thank you all who helped us over this bump.  Our fabulous "put back together" staff is front row Jen Daoust, second row Sarah Hoxie, Jandel Herum and back row Katie Knutson, Lisa Lammert, Michelle Karch and Faye and Rick.  We still have blowers and dehumidifiers in the back rooms that will run through Sunday.  We should be 100% dry and back to normal Monday.  Onward!
