M Missoni
WHAT A COUP! -- not only is Faye's the only store in Wisconsin to carry M Missoni. But, we are one of the only stores in the country to host an event. M Missoni will be sending us dozens of pieces from Italy. Which means: You see it...you love it...you can have it! Immediate gratification. No ordering...no waiting. What could be better? But shop early, as sizes will be limited.
Missoni's Backstory:
Missoni's graphic look is iconic; the fabrics are luxurious. Missoni's technicolor stripes are world famous. Romantically, the story began at the 1948 London Olympics where founders Rosita and Ottavio first met. Rosita was studying in London and decided to take in some track and field events. Ottavio was a hurdler who also happened to design the track team's uniforms! Five years later, the couple married and settled in Milan to open a garment business specializing in knits and patterns. Within a few years, their label had solidified its look: bold, colorful patterns on luxurious fabrics. Today, it remains a family-run affair with daughter, Angela, designing and sons, Luca and Vittorio, overseeing the business.
